Nature of the Dispute:
The business, Two Men Moving Company from Doral, was hired to provide moving services, which included packing, moving, and unpacking. The service was scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM, and they were instructed to move items into an identical unit and set them up exactly as they were in the original location.

However, when three movers arrived, two left immediately. This forced us to hire additional movers to complete the job. Two new movers were sent by the company, but they arrived several hours later. Our building has strict time limits for using the service elevator, which created significant logistical issues for us due to the delay.

Throughout the process, our internal movers handled all the packing and the majority of the moving tasks that Two Men Moving was responsible for. They also managed the unpacking. By the end of the move, additional unpacking still needed to be done, but the movers sent by the company refused to complete it, stating they wanted to go home.

During the day of the move, I was connected to two Operations Managers, Jose Lorenz and Julian Montalvo, who assured me that everything would be made right and that we would receive a substantial discount due to the issues we faced. Despite their assurances, no such discount was provided, and the problems persisted.

In addition, the movers who were eventually sent caused extensive damage to several items, resulting in thousands of dollars in losses.

Without prior notice or authorization, the company then charged an additional $947 to our debit card. We were not informed of this charge in advance and only became aware of it through a bank notification. This unauthorized charge is fraudulent.

Efforts to resolve this issue with the General Manager, Alan Jenkins, have been unsuccessful. He has refused to refund the unauthorized charge or compensate for the damages. Furthermore, the company has kept our original $250 deposit.
Requested Resolution:

We are seeking a refund of $250 for the deposit, $947 for the unauthorized charge, and compensation for the damages caused during the move.

I strongly advise against using Two Men And a Truck Moving Company, as their actions have been dishonest and unprofessional.

Excellent service, fair pricing and attention to detail. We have moved with two Men and a Truck several times both in Central Florida and in South Florida. The team from the Doral Office as well as the actual moving team are amazing and professional. We were very impressed with Helen our coordinator from the office and the team of Josue, Luis and Ray. Professional, thorough and very careful with our valuables. I would recommend them to everyone. In fact, we have another move for other family members coming up in a couple of weeks and I am requesting the team again. Dont be fooled by the polite service when booking. Inexperienced and unprofessional: broke a whole desk in half. I had purchased the insurance (to cover me for anything they damaged) but now they dont return my calls or emails when I’m seeking reimbursement. Additionally: they dont carry tools to disassemble patio furniture and didnt carry portable closets, even though these two things were specifically requested when I booked the service by phone. I had to find someone else to move my patio furniture. Just find yourself someone cheaper or a more serious service.

They break your stuff and don’t pay you back!
They have actually made my moving so stressful and unpleasant !!! They didn’t unscrew my bed , because they were lazy and inexperienced, they pushed it in on their truck and it was obviously broken to the point it had to be tossed. They assured me it will get replaced and even demanded a tip at the end of the service . The operation team never contacted me as promised, I had to call 6 times , 3 emails no answers , they hanged the phone on me multiple times.
They didn’t replace my bed, they claimed I didn’t pay the “expensive “ insurance so I was entitled for the “ regular “ insurance and offer me 100$ for my 600$ bed.

The moving team was very polite, arrived promptly, and worked hard. I had called to confirm 10am and emailed with a response confirming 10am arrival but they showed up at 9am (the originally scheduled time). I'm unsure whether I was charged for that hour.

I wish that the furniture had been handled with a bit more care. The interior drawers of my wardrobe ripped out during transportation and can't be reassembled because the damage is too extensive. Initially they tried to put the pieces inside the wardrobe when I wasn't looking and just leave. I asked them to please help me reassemble it. The pieces were put roughly back where they go but nothing actually screws together anymore. I will need to replace the whole unit. Between replacing the unit and disposing of the broken one, I estimate $750-$1,000 to fix that situation.

Every other furniture piece suffered black scuff marks, dents, cracks, and scratches to the paint. My quick fix will be to wood fill, sand, and repaint the pieces but I will eventually want to replace those as well. Three of the four feet on my nightstand fell off during transportation and I had to specifically notice the problem and ask them to find the feet. I found a wheel from a piece of furniture in the building stairwell hours after they left. The slats on my bedframe were not reassembled correctly and I found washers and locking washers on the floor. I'm unsure which areas they neglected to install the washers in.

Regardless, I left a good tip because the poor movers had to take the stairs at the new building. Times are also tough at the moment.

I called the office line to let them know about the wardrobe but they are closed on Sundays and don't have a way to leave a voicemail.

For the cost of service and small number of items moved, I may have been better off renting a uhaul and asking a couple friends to help.
