Moving is hard, expensive, and stressful nowadays. And when I found College Hunks, I thought there prices for moving were really good and affordable, compared to other companies. Apart from the great customer service over the phone, they were flexible with how I needed to move, including another friend. And all under 1 price! When Carlos and Chuck came to move our items, they were extremely fast, respectful, and great personalities to talk to about our moving issues. Never did they not help us. Great movers, great company, and great service! I would highly recommend this company, especially getting Carlos and Chuck. Great team!

I really wish I had used this service sooner. They came, they were able to efficiently get the massive TV out of our apartment quickly and onto the truck. Payment was a breeze. The whole thing took less than 15 minutes. The guys themselves were respectful, courteous, and incredibly professional. If I ever have to have junk hauled away or moved, I will definitely again be using this service. And the cost even exceeded my expectations. I over budgeted, and the final cost was underbudget, so I even saved some money. Thanks again, guys! Y'all are doing amazing work.

These guys were incredible! Took of two truck loads of donations and junk from my grandparents house, moved the remainder of their four bedroom house to a new home and got it set up all in under 7 hours. The whole time they were courteous, professional, and had a great attitude even though it was over 100 degrees outside! Will recommend them to anyone needing the services they offer.

I used College Hunks packing and moving services on Friday, December 29, and Saturday, December 30, respectively. I had an extremely unsatisfactory experience.

I scheduled my in-person estimate for October 30, 2023. The office manager who did the in-person estimator was lovely and walked through my whole apartment. My estimate for packing and moving with four HUNKS was $1,763.25. The estimator clearly explained that December 29 would be the packing day, and December 30 would be the moving day.

On December 29, four HUNKS showed up as agreed. After about an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half, two of them said that they were booked for another job and left, which left me with two HUNKS to do an entire 2br/2ba apartment. The method to their packing was irrational and sloppy. There were items left in drawers, cabinets, and shelves after they left, and they wrapped non-breakable items and did not wrap glass and ceramic breakable items (see photos below), which caused several items to break during the move. Only having two HUNKS instead of four obviously drove up the cost of my initial estimate. As they had not finished by the end of the appointment, the office manager also came and helped pack while the HUNKS left. The office manager also left several glass frame boxes for the movers, which they didn’t use. They stuffed all the glass items in a large cardbox box.

On December 30, there were only three HUNKS instead of the four that I was told were moving. One of the workers took a beverage from my apartment and started drinking it. The lead employee brought a Monster energy drink, put it on the floor, and knocked it over, causing it to stain a pillow and mattress pad. When I brought it to his attention, he said he didn’t know that it had been knocked over. He graciously offered to pack the items that the packing crew had left behind. My complaints regarding the moving crew are the number of damaged items during this move. The also packed my grandfather’s vintage car posters featuring his cars glass-to-glass, no boxing or protection, which caused one of them to be destroyed (broken glass and torn poster).

My original packing and moving estimate was $1,763.25. On December 29, due to only having two HUNKS instead of four, I was charged an additional amount due to the hours. In total, I paid $2,967.88, $1204.63 more than my original estimate.

I requested reimbursement for items that were damaged due to employee carelessness. I sent an original email and two follow-up emails, and no one has responded (versus being super responsive during the move).

I would never recommend this company to anyone. I'm honestly shocked by the 5-star reviews unless this was a completely new crew of workers.

Isaiah and Jay were amazing! They were on time to start, communicated everything with me upfront (including cost), and they were extremely professional throughout the entire process. There was no damage to any of my furniture from the move, and they cleaned up really well after they were done. Overall, I can’t recommend these two enough!!

I recently hired College Hunks (Dallas) to move three new pieces of furniture upstairs, and the experience was an absolute disaster. The movers were unprepared for the job, and it was clear from the start they had no idea what they were doing. They didn’t bring basic tools like lifting straps, which any professional mover should have. Because of their incompetence, they caused extensive damage to my home. Our stairwell is now covered in gashes and scratches, including the railings and a huge scratch on one of our wood floor stairs. To top it off, the new furniture itself also has dents and scratches, thanks to their careless handling.

But what really infuriates me is that these guys left without even mentioning the damage they caused! They just walked out as if everything was fine, leaving us to discover the mess afterward. We reported the damage immediately, but the company has been completely unresponsive, refusing to return our calls. This company is a complete joke, and their lack of professionalism is beyond infuriating. Avoid them at all costs!
