It was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this company. I wanted to do the 5 Seen Wanderung since long time. Davide was a very genuine and caring guide. I not only enjoyed the hike a lot but also laughed loads from the fun conversations. Davide also managed to stop the rain from coming . Unbelievable ? no seriously BOOK WITH HIM. Very cool

Von dem Moment an, als ich zum erstenmal eine Ledge gesehen habe, wollte ich einmal darauf schlafen. Doch eine chronische Erkrankung macht das schwer. Doch Davide ist ein super Organisator, der nicht aufgibt und hat mit Kathi eine Bergführerin gefunden, so das es geklappt hat. Dadurch durfte ich dieses Abenteuer erleben und meinen Traum erfüllen. Es war einfach nur cool!! Eine ganz tolle Erfahrung. Ich bin so glücklich darüber. Danke Kathi und danke Davide. Sollte ich mal wieder was planen, dann nur mit euch

I have never written a review before but after our experience with Exped Tribe I wouldn’t want people making the same mistake we did.

We were meant to have a guided climb at the Allinanhorn, Saas Fee this morning, however it was cancelled 24 hours in advance due to poor conditions, with no refund and allowance for other options. We were only offered an alternative date at an additional 60% of the original price - from looking at alternative guides this is likely the full price of a cheaper guide at this rate for the alternative day.

I want to make it clear that Exped Tribe communicated well that we would not be provided a refund should the trip be cancelled. However it was only communicated at the time of cancellation that our guide would be travelling from Germany and would not travel with the current forecast. At the time of booking we understood the risks, as although we are not experienced in mountaineering we are very experienced hikers and skiers (living only a couple hours from Saas fee) so understand the changing conditions on the mountain well. The forecast was changing daily but never showed a bad forecast. At the time of cancellation 20-30cm of snow was forecast overnight on the platform the guide was using but many alternatives showed only showed significantly less.

Having already booked accommodation in Saas fee we made the trip anyway and by the time we had arrived it was forecast 0-3cm of snow. We woke up the next morning to blue skies, no wind and a reported 2cm of snowfall with many in saas fee making the trip up to the allinanhorn that morning. We ourselves did a hike to 3000m with no issues on the day with weather.

Although I understand a lot of the situation was outside of Exped Tribe’s control, I find it unacceptable to be expected to pay additional money for a guide to travel from Germany, with no refund and no alternative arrangements. Had we known he was travelling from Germany and would make a call based on the forecast the day before, we would not have booked. We wouldn’t have minded not doing the climb as understand for mountaineering beginners it might not have been ideal conditions. However for the amount we paid I would have expected to be able to utilise the guides time (which we had paid for) for e.g. a training course on use of equipment, glacier crossing etc which would have definitely been possible with a local guide seeing the conditions that morning.

We will be returning to do the Allininhorn another time but not with Exped Tribe. After more research there are more affordable companies that state up front they will provide full refund or alternative dates for poor conditions or include insurance at a similar price.

After seeing the other reviews I’m sure we would have had a good time had the trip gone ahead but wouldn’t want people to be left in the same position as we have (800CHF+ out of pocket) if one out of many weather forecasts does not show perfect conditions.

Please note Exped Tribe suggested we take insurance for bad weather. However since we live in Switzerland and were not travelling abroad for this trip, insurance options were limited and any providers were at up to 50% of the total trip cost, so we decided not to take out insurance. We had assumed that Exped Tribe were using local guides so even if conditions weren’t ideal, accommodations could be made to do at least something on the day so the money would not be wasted.

Abbiamo prenotato lo Spaghetti Tour con la scuola di guide alpine di Exped Tribe e siamo molto contenti dell'organizzazione e della guida (grazie Christian!) con cui siamo saliti su diversi 4000 in Vallese, durante una gita pressoché perfetta. Abbiamo apprezzato particolarmente la flessibilità di Davide che ci ha permesso di allungare di due giorni il tour, per permettere a tutti di salire con buona acclimatizzazione queste montagne spettacolari! Consigliamo vivamente il team di Exped Tribe e torneremo volentieri per organizzare un viaggio di alpinismo in Nepal! Daniela e gli amici italiani

Durch ExpedTribe konnte mir mein Traum einer Trekkingtour in das ferne Land Nepal ermöglicht werden. Die jahrelange Erfahrung in Organisation und Planung garantierte uns eine reibungslose Expeditionsreise, wobei einzelne Verzögerungen, wegen beispielsweise Wetterunsicherheiten, geduldig und bestmöglichst gehandhabt wurden. Durch die Kombination der Trekkingtour mit der Besteigung des 6.189m hohen Island Peak konnten wir gemeinsam eine bestens organisierte Herausforderung meistern.
Die sehr empfehlenswerte Organisation mit viel Know-How in alpinen Unternehmungen bringt neuen Schwung in die Alpinszene und ich freue mich bereits auf neue Angebote und neue Möglichkeiten, Erfahrungen zu sammeln.

Andermatt Freeride coi ragazzi di Exped Tribe

Tantissima powder e un sacco di line bellissime nelle montagne della zona.

I ragazzi di Exped hanno mappato benissimo tracciati favolosi : tra boschi , canali , jump , creste ripide e pendii .

Anche in mezzo al whiteout più totale ci hanno fatto raggiungere i drop più fighi : organizzazione eccellente !

Simpatici e bravi !!! Gasati anche con bellissime fotografie e video ❤️⛷️
