I rented a U-Haul from San Antonio and dropped it off to this location. My original drop off time was 11:00. I called and received an extension for 5pm. I returned the U-Haul at 3:15. Michael charged me for an extra day. Couldn’t even explain to me what I was being charged for. He charged my card before I even said okay. He first told me that I was going to be reimbursed for the miles I did not use. Saying that I returned it on time and everything. So why would you charge me an extra day? I called and Madison answered the phone. She said she saw that my return time was 3:05pm. So I was late in returning it. Good thing I have receipts that show they approved me till 5pm. They were not helpful in even trying to give my money back. Called the San Antonio location and he was so helpful. Gave me the 1800 number for U-Haul. He even said he does not understand why he charged me. And said he honestly feels he scammed me. To not even call them and to call 1800 cause he doesn’t think they would be helpful. And he was so right they weren’t. This place will not get any more business from me.

I'm giving two stars to this place because of their handicap parking. They have one handicap spot and tell random people to park in it who do not have handicapped placards. They have another spot that would work great for accessible spots but they put three cones right in front of it so that you have to navigate around the cones and their displays. Customer service Representatives or friendly and assist with doors but if they don't allow you to park in the spots designated for handicapped, it makes it very difficult to shop here especially with a wheelchair accessible van

This company is VERY unprofessional and BIASED. This past weekend I went there to use their truck from an already pre-planned reservation at 9am. I get there ready to sign the contract and ONLY because I used someone point of contact, they denied me to continue with the process. The point of contact issue had NOTHING to do with me and they blamed me for it. That caused me to be put on this E-Alert list. Like why?!! I don’t know why they couldn’t use another point of contact that I had for the contract. And it’s not like that person was on the contract, it was just me on the contract!! They only asked for another point of contact if they couldn’t reach me. Of course, I was gonna answer them especially if I have their freaking property. And when my friends tried putting a new contract through their name, the clerk manager girl in the front denied them. Like seriously? That wasn’t right AT ALL. l I had to move that day because I was traveling due to military training. That morning was just complete frustration for me because it was not just that particular uhaul, it was ALL of them I tried putting my name on. So I’m calling other U-Haul companies and wasting my gas just to get a truck to move my stuff. After driving around and almost getting a moving truck all morning, around 1pm that day I finally found a great truck company that helped me get a moving truck and they didn’t even ask me about a point of contact to rent the truck. Their trucks are better anyway so I will stick with them in the future. U-Haul really messed up my whole day and my plans because that task was planned to be finished before 12pm that day. They had no consideration for the fact that the e alert crap had nothing to do with me and used that against me.. If you know someone with an e alert don’t even waste your time because they won’t help you out. I will NOT be wasting my MONEY, TIME, OR SERVICE dealing with this truck company EVER AGAIN.

I decided to leave a review to boost their ratings a little bit. I rented a 10x10 unit here last December and the process was quick and simple. I’ve encountered one hiccup, which is why I deducted a star. My unit was canceled without notice. Had I not went to pay, I wouldn’t have realized the discrepancy. I was told that the facility was under new management and since my stuff was undisturbed, I made no big deal about it. I left my items unattended for 10 months and everything was as the same when I recently returned to clear out. Fortunately, there were no rodents, pests, etc. like some other facilities I’ve visited in the past. The staff were pretty helpful & shoutout to Dede for assisting in my PODS drop off - she had a great disposition and great customer service. I would recommend this location.

I would definitely recommend this Uhaul location to my family and friends. With all the things that could have went wrong on my end. The staff was very patient and accommodating. Vanessa was amazing. She did everything possible to help me. The care and concern of this staff is amazing. 10/10

The pickup location changed the day before pickup, I was given two different trucks and the final truck I received smelled really bad of cigarettes. I was led to believe that this was the only option. The truck smelled really bad. I couldn’t get rid of the smell for the whole 1,000 mile trip. The check in links did not work also.

The drop off location also changed to one that was farther away while reducing the time that I had on the rental. The location of the drop-off was unclear as to the specific location that they wanted the truck or where the key drop off was. It was also a mobile check in and the website tried charging me for the cleanliness of the truck, just because I said that it was not clean enough for the next family due to the cigarette smell that was there when I got it. I did not get charged because I changed the answer to that question. I figured that the mindset from U-Haul was that if the cigarette smell was clean enough to rent the truck to me, then it would be OK by them to rent to another person.

If the in town rental fee for a trailer is a set price I expect that price for 24 hours of use. I was charged the daily rate for 6 hours of use and had to pay another full day just to extend it past that 6 hours. I always rent my trailers from U-Haul not sure if this is a new policy but definitely seems shady for a company of your stature. Might be time to seek out another rental company if this is the new standard.

Even with their system, the customer service agents are friendly, as accommodating as possible, and send us off with well wishes! So if you call, and are placed on a not so brief hold, play a game on your phone while you wait cause this team is really doing an outstanding job.
